Department of Psychology had organized a study tour cum social awareness drive to the Sardar Vallabbhai Patel Cantonment board Hospital in Pune, established in 1928, the oldest Government hospital, on 30 th August 2018. The aim of this visit is to inculcate feeling of care and encouraging students to do social service. The motto of the visit was to make Psychology students understand the patient’s psychology, their needs and problems. In all 42 students got benefitted by this visit. Matron Mone took all the students for round to each department like Casualty OPD where Dr.Sumit, Dr. Priyank Patel and Matron Mone explained students about the availability of emergency medicines, medical aids, procedure, ECG and X-Ray facility if any patient comes in emergency. Vidhayrthini Manch has organized a Guest lecture on ‘Annayala Vacha Kashi Fodavi? –Awareness of Sexual Abuse, on 7 th August 2018. Mrs. Kirti Deshpande and Advocate Eeshani Joshi from Bhartiya Stree Shaki Jagran Sanstha, Pune, addressed the girl students of our college. The aim of this program was to bring awareness among girl students about sexual abuse and to make them alert in the life. In all 63 girl students got benefitted by this awareness drive. Mrs. Kirti Deshpande explained the meaning and concept of sexual abuse to girls. She made students aware about sexual abuses at home, society, in colleges and at work place. She made them realize various types of abuses.
